Game and Nature

Moor House-Upper Teesdale National Nature Reserve covers 7,400 ha of the Pennine moors in the north of England. It straddles Cumbria and County Durham. It was designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1976.

Holme Dunes is a 192-hectare nature reserve near Holme-next-the-Sea in Norfolk. It is managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, and is a National Nature Reserve.

Castle Eden Dene is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and National Nature Reserve in the Easington district of County Durham, England. It is located mostly in Peterlee, between the A19 and A1086 roads.

Wicken Fen is a 254.5 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Wicken in Cambridgeshire. It is also a National Nature Reserve, and a Nature Conservation Review site.

Barton Hills are situated southeast of the village of Barton-le-Clay in the English county of Bedfordshire. They are part of the Chilterns and hiking routes are marked on maps at the entrance to the hills. From the foot of the hillside, a spring marks the start of a chalk stream river.

Carbrook Ravine Reserve– A small but varied reserve nestled amongst the urban landscape This narrow valley used to form part of an extensive 2500 acre deer park for the gentry of Sheffield. Although there are no deer now, there is plenty of wildlife. The site covers 13.4 hectares.

Blacka Moor Nature Reserve– This magnificent moorland is the largest and most spectacular of the Wildlife Trust’s nature reserves. It contains 181 hectares of breath taking scenery and forms part of a much larger internationally important wild landscape.

The Anglian Water Bird Watching Centre with its superb facilities is located on the Egleton area of the nature reserve. It is open daily throughout the year from 9:00am to 5:00pm (4:00pm November – April) and is a good place to start your visit.

Greenwich Park is a former hunting park in Greenwich and one of the largest single green spaces in south-east London. Greenwich Park hosts the Prime Meridian Line and Royal Observatory as well as being part of the Greenwich Maritime World Heritage Site which is home to The National Maritime Museum and Old Royal Naval College.

The Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens is a visitor attraction near the village of Abbotsbury, Dorset, southern England. They are Grade I listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. The garden originates in 1765.
